On the three days that I just couldn’t
manage to, I was going to keep you posted on proceedings
with my latest and very different thing in preparation to
cooking up a storm at Don Pedros.
I was also very chuffed that Welsh-born Naomi Das, who is
now living Johannesburg, has agreed to a be featured as
a Yummie Babe.
And finally, I was to combine a feature on DJ Ashton Ables
and an opinion by Ian Brink regarding the arguments for
and against DJs using controllers.
All of this has to wait until next week
though, as I am still as sick as a dog. This flu is getting
worse daily, and although I know I am supposed to rest,
I just cannot afford to.
In the meantime, you can catch two very
different faces of the incredibly talented Ashton Ables.
On Saturday 11 June he does an old school set at Inside
Cocktail Lounge in Rosmead Avenue Kenilworth. This is a
definitely the vibiest old school party in town and entrance
is free.
Then on Wednesday 15th June Ashton does what he loves best
at the Wayback to Our Youth Bottle Party at Saul’s
Saloon in Church Street Wynberg.
The cover charge at the Wayback Party is R50 and you can
bring your own bottle.
As far as Don Pedros goes, I was supposed
to cook there for the first time today, introducing a tomato
and yoghurt based Chicken Curry, as well as Yellow Butter
Chicken, but that will have to wait
As for Naomi Das, the eye candy susceptibles
will just have to wait for next week.
This flu has got me beaten.
