Does this happen to you?
Let’s see.
Three travelling salesmen decide to save
money by sharing a room in a cheap hotel.
They manage to get a dingy little room for R300 for the
night.
Each one gives R100 to pay for the room.
Later that evening, the night manager comes
on duty, and discovers that the men had been overcharged,
as the room usually goes for R250 per night.
He gives a porter R50 to go to the room
and refund the men.
The porter, not being as honest as the night
manager, and realising that you cannot evenly divide 3 into
50 decides to pocket R20, and he gives the three guys each
R10 back.
Each salesman therefore paid R90 for the
room.
R90 x 3 = R270
The porter pocketed R20.
That makes R290.
What happened to the other R10?
If that’s too easy for you and you
are not amused, check out the pics below.
This is not trick photography.
It’s the real thing, and I am convinced that not even
maths fundis get to see stuff like this everyday.
