“We are proud to provide
content to a broad spectrum of listeners, whose values we
respect. K-day is just an extension of this philosophy;
that’s why we’ll make sure these same values
are reflected at the festival,’ said Kfm’s manager
Colleen Louw.
Parow’s language also caused upsets
in September last year, when Juanita Du Plessis claimed
that she was uncomfortable sharing the stage with him at
Huisgenoot’s Skouspel - not exactly my cup of tea.
Parow was later pulled from the programme.
Die rapperr admits that Kfm had
asked him to tone down his performance, but after an influx
of complaints (according to Kfm), his performance is being
reconsidered.
Parow is unfazed that he may again be pulled
from the program.
‘Dis nie my kak nie. Ek worry nie.’ He said.
I wouldn’t worry too much either if
I was Parow.
In my opinion, apart from Prime Circle and
Flash Republic, the rest of the K-Day line-up seems to be
a string of ‘no balls’ artists, performing
at a ‘no balls’ event to a ‘no
balls’ audience.
And they all think they are ‘cooler as ek.’
Not my cup of tea either.
Like my name was Nigel.
