An extraordinary support cast and exceptionally
funny writers play a huge role in making the series so successful.

But one has to admit that Carlos Irvin Estevez,
better known by his screen name Charlie Sheen, is the central
character that pulls it all together. In fact the role was
loosely created around the actor’s bad boy image.
And, the public just loves Charles Francis
‘Charlie’ Harper, the hedonistic, promiscuous,
alcoholic jingle writer.
So now that they know that in real life
Charlie Sheen may not be a jingle writer, but he is certainly
a hedonistic, promiscuous alcoholic, does this spell the
end of the show’s success?
I don’t think so.
I think that, when CBS and Warner Bros come to their senses,
they will realise that this can only take the show to even
greater heights.
When they fired him, Sheen announced that
he would do a 20 city nationwide live tour.
Tickets for "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat
is Not An Option" sold out in 18 minutes, a record
for Ticketmaster, and another five locations have now been
added to the tour.
Although the press reported that the opening night in Detroit
bombed, he got a standing ovation on the second night in
Chicago.
And with people like Snoop Dogg scheduled
to join him as a guest on some of the dates, Charlie will
be smiling all the way to the bank.
Not that he needs the extra cash.
In a recent interview, he claimed that he pays for sex because
he has so much money that he has run out of things to buy.
Sheen makes $1m a year from Twitter endorsements alone and
will earn $7m from the tour.
He is also suing Warner Bros for $100m.
Or is it all just a huge Hollywood publicity stunt?
