GOD’S INDIRECT MESSAGE TO PARENTS

I cannot, for the life of me, understand the comments on the IOL article about the four-year-old girl, who fell from a fifth floor balcony and only suffered a broken arm.

96% percent of the comments are people praising God for this miracle.

The girl was extremely fortunate to land on a tiny strip of grass in front of the apartment block, missing the tarred parking area by a mere metre.

Body & Soul Weightloss

God is alive, let us praise him’, ‘This has to prove how great our God is! Only He has the power to protect! Glory be to God! Praise His name!’ and ‘This is only the work of God, the fact that she landed on a small piece of lawn is God's grace and mercy!’ are just three of these comments.

In December last year a little girl drowned in the pool of this very complex.
Was this another example of God’s grace and mercy?

I too live in this complex, and many of the numerous children in the complex are allowed to run wild with absolutely no supervision.
It is not unusual to a find groups of toddlers running, screaming, swearing and basically going wild at any time, from sunrise to well after sunset.
In fact, it is unusual to not hear and see unsupervised children running amok in this complex

Talking to these children has no effect. Many of them too young to even understand what I am saying.
Talking to their parents has also proved futile.
These parents do not seem to care about their children at all.
They are too busy working and resting or drinking and partying.

If there is a God, and he is trying to send a message through these incidents, the message is surely ‘Parents. Love, cherish, nurture and care for your children. Because if you don’t, sooner or later, really bad things are going to happen to them.
