YUMMIE GETS LINKLOVE FROM 2OCEANSVIBE

When South African bloggers get together at seminars on monetizing your blog - or rather on how it is virtually impossible to monetize a South African blog – 2oceansvibe is usually mentioned as ‘the exception.’

With reluctant reverence – and often overt contempt – they will mention Seth Rotherham as ‘one of’ the most successful South African bloggers.

I will not make any bones about the fact that when I wrote the article 2ouensvibe way back in November last year, I was hoping that the article would somehow be brought to Seth’s attention and that in some mysterious way this would drive more traffic to my site.

But, the article was also intended to be entertaining. You see, I live in ‘the other dimension’ of Cape Town. But, even here in the ‘other dimension’ many aspire towards the ‘vibe’ and 2oceansvibe is as popular amongst the lotto-playing dimensioners as it is amongst the Trustafarians.

The article was slightly, mischievously, exaggerated, but is none-the-less largely based on truth.

I DO live off Koeberg Rd, the angels DO hang out at Amigos, and there ARE not one but many TBGs engaging in covert operations in Koeberg Rd.

Thobejane, Mavis and the refuse room is largely exaggerated, and my rent is up-to-date, but I really once sold a 350SE Merc dubbed Brutus in order to pay outstanding bills, and I actually still have the seven-year-old Motorola with the cracked screen.
The only reason I still have the phone is that nobody wants it.
Even Thobejane, when I asked if he wanted it, at fourteen-months-old,emphatically shook his head and distinctly said ‘Hayibo.’

But, to cut a long story short, Seth has finally discovered the article and gave Yummie some much-appreciated linklove on 2oceansvibe yesterday.
Thumbs up Seth!

I can visualise the dollars streaming in from tomorrow morning, and maybe one day soon I will be able to afford a coffee at vida e caffé and get to meet you and exchange ‘vibes.’
