When I created man there was only one of you, and I had
created him in my own image.
Not that he looked like me, but I gave him all of my powers
necessary for taking care of himself, including the ability
to procreate – making him a procreant being capable
of procreation, and thus a procreator if you catch my
drift - with a view to inhabiting the Earth.
Granted, it could be said that my vision was short sighted
at the time, but budgets and resources for this project
had already been allocated back then, and there was just
no way that I could have projected the current scenario.
There are now billions of you, and I am
afraid that the issue cannot realistically be addressed
by ‘simply taking away the freedom of choice
thing completely’ as you propose.
It’s a pity that you had not sent me the proposal
before I created Eve.
Back then it would have been easy and cost-effective to
make the proposed changes, and I have no doubt that the
result would have reflected positively on my corporate
image, identity and product.
FYI, I do from time to time watch the news and I am well
aware of the situation on Earth.
In fact, the alarm bells already started tolling when
the simple guideline that I sent to Moses was
dubbed ‘commandments’ and the entire
vision so completely misinterpreted.
You see, I never intended to micro-manage man.
That’s why I gave him all those powers, and when
I delegated the responsibility of managing the project
to him, I was confident in his ability to do so.
After all, I had created him in my own image.
Once more, it is with regret that I have to inform you
that I am not in a position to commit to a partnership
with you in implementing your concept.
Your concern is appreciated and you have my full blessing
to attempt the project on your own. You may quote me on
that.
Personally though, I think nothing short of a total
recall is necessary, but with my busy schedule I
have no idea when, if ever, I will find the time to implement
that.
In the meantime, going forward,
should you have any further proposals, you are always
welcome to submit them for my consideration.

PS. I would love to hear your thoughts on
the global warming issue. This affects not just man, but
the entire creation and I am keen to explore the options
in addressing this problem. I may be able to scrape together
some funds from my contingency budget for this project.
