Finding someone who is actually prepared
to act and put effort into trying to help others is almost
impossible.
I found such a person.
Or rather, he found me.
Last week sometime, I received an email
from Jeremy Acton.
Jeremy stumbled on Zenolia Du Plooy’s story on the
web some two weeks ago.
She has been in prison for 3 years and
8 months, and is eligible for parole in two months time.
But there are complications. Financial complications.
In the two weeks that Acton has known about
Du Plooy’s plight, he has done several things to try
and help.
He has appealed to the Venezuelan Embassy in South Africa
for assistance, he is trying to muster support by forwarding
the information to the media, and he is appealing to his
personal friends and anyone who will listen to assist with
donations.
Jeremy has managed to restore my faith,
if not in mankind, then at least in myself.
I believe that the qualities that Jeremy is showing is spirituality
personified.
And in my experience, man is so far removed
from spirituality that he does not even know the meaning
of the word anymore.
And that is one of the main reasons why life is so unbearably
hard for the majority of the world’s population.
I salute you Jeremy.
Anyone prepared to assist can contact Jeremy
here.
Or simply make a donation. Every cent helps.
