But there are some things that should be,
but are never recorded.
For example:
As all Galaxy goers will know, there is a security person
that has been working at the club for 30 years.
On New Years Eve 2000, the eve of the new millennium, we
are standing outside the Club.
One of the other security says to him of thirty years
service ‘ Do you know how big tonight is. This
only happens once every one thousand years.’
Turning to me, he added ‘One day, when his grandchildren
asks him ‘Wat het oupa gedoen op die millennium? He
will answer. “ Nie, oppie millennium my kind, het
oupa agter die karre gekyk by die Galaxy.”
