WHY CRIME IS SO VIOLENT IN SOUTH AFRICA

R3.5million of taxpayers’ money was spent on the long-awaited report on the violent nature of crime in South Africa that was finally released on Tuesday.

Conducted by the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation, the report found that the country’s history of colonisation and apartheid created a culture where people see resorting to force as normal. (duh)

The 700-page report lists poverty, a weak criminal justice system, the availability of firearms and poor socialisation of the youth as factors that sustain a culture of violence. (duh)

Body & Soul Weightloss

MPs on Parliament's portfolio committee on police appeared sceptical about the value of the research, saying it failed to answer the fundamental question of why South Africa was so afflicted by violence. (duh)

The chief author of the report, Dave Bruce, countered that it was unrealistic to expect the 700-page report, which cost R3.5m to produce, to deliver new truths.
"The business of explaining violence is an international industry which is carried out in universities around the world. The international investment in explaining violence - what would it be? Possibly hundreds of millions.
To expect this R3.5m to develop a new explanation would be incredibly unrealistic."
(double duh)

R3.5 million for 700-pages of old drivel Mr Bruce?
Hundreds of millions for ten-thousand pages of new drivel Mr Bruce?
New Truths and a New Explanation Mr Bruce?

I can give you the answer in a one-pager for R50 Mr Bruce.

In fact, I could probably do it in a paragraph or two and for free Mr bloody Bruce.

With freedom, blacks, whites, coloureds and Indian South Africans all bought into the concept of freedom, equality and a better life for all.
In fact, we were excited and very very optimistic about it.
Really. We were.

We were all prepared to move past the injustices of the past, the hurt, the pain, the suffering, the anger, the guilt, the oppression, the hatred, the revenge, and everything else.
Really we were.
We were truly ready and prepared to give it our all to build a united, equal and free New South African Nation.
Really we were.
All of us.

But fifteen years later, what have we learnt?

It was all a ploy.
A ploy whereby a new breed could continue the corruption and greed for personal gain, with no regard for the pain, the suffering and the oppression of a nation.

And what are we left with?
The suffering, hurt, anger, pain and…............ hatred.

And by now our engorged hatred is not focused on any specific race culture or creed.
Our hatred is completely non-racist and unbiased.

Take what you want from who ever you want.
By force if necessary.

Our leaders are all doing it.
So if you can’t beat them, join them.

And for those of you who are going to bitch about coming up with solutions instead of focussing on the problems.

The solution is clear.
Oust the leaders and prosecute the guilty ones.
Elect new, competent leaders and hold them accountable.
You’ve got the power.
Just friggen do it!!!!!
