THE PLAN FOR 2010
It’s still Monday 4 January, the
first day back at the desk after a three-week break, and
I am still battling to get into the swing of things.
2009 was a hard year.
2009 was a really hard year.
But, with Nellie’s help, we managed a small budget
for the much needed yearend break.
God knows, we needed it.
In the first week of December last year,
the universe played yet another practical joke on us,
in the form of an accident with our uninsured car.
This depleted a huge chunk of said budget, but we were
determined to enjoy the break, and that we did.
The problem is that this
‘enjoying the break’ was much like energy-sapping
hard work, and at the end of it, I feel I need a holiday!
Don’t you feel it?
No rest for the wicked?
I am launching a new site on 18 January.
MommyTalk is an inter-active site catering to mommies
and parents from all walks of life.
Apart from all the information on good parenting, the
site also offers a social networking application where
each registered user has his/her own blog.
There are also numerous competitions where premium members
can win mega prizes for mommies, babies, couples and families.
But let me not harp on it here,
Check it out, and if this is not for you, please recommend
it to your friends who are parents.
As for Yummie, I will no longer have the
time to do two articles and two photo galleries every
day.
I will still update the site Monday to Friday with one
article a day, but the galleries will now be Yummie SA
Girl of the Week, and Yummie SA Sight of the Week.
I hope that is not a train smash, and that you, the 25
000 monthly visitors to the site, will continue to enjoy
my ramblings and spreading the word!
