WRITER’S BLOCK

I’ve been trying since Saturday, but I simply cannot come up with something to write today.
I’m hoping that it is writer’s block and not that my mind is finally running on empty.

UPDATE @ 10h34 - I've just remembered that empty vessels make the most noise so it must be writer's block. What a relief!

CALLING CAPE TOWN PERFORMING ARTISTS

Yesterday, I started a group on Facebook for performing artists based in Cape Town.
I don’t know about you guys, but I find that the Cape Town nightlife scene has become excruciatingly dull and boring, and it’s high time that someone does something about it.

The group is aimed at performing artists who are looking for opportunities to showcase their work.

Free Tarot Reading

I don't promise to make you rich and famous overnight, but rather endeavour to work with artists to create shows and establish and develop regular performance platforms in and around Cape Town.
But yes, you will get paid (a little), and who knows, we may just get rich and famous together!

I am currently on the lookout for seven solo artists of any age for a show that will be produced in the near future.

It does not matter if you are a singer, dancer, musician, mime, comedian, magician, actor, ventriloquist, a beat-boxer or even a box-beater, whatever.
If you feel that you, or someone you know, have an act (approximately 5-8 minutes) that will wow audiences, please join the group and contact us via email.

Apart from a solo set, each artist will also be required to take part in two group segments of about 5-8 minutes each.
All applicants must be prepared to audition as well as attend rehearsals at no cost.

When the show is ready however, the artists will earn a fee for each performance (R300-R400 each) on a regular and consistent basis.

The only condition is that it has to be a solo performance.
Backing tracks are allowed.

So check out the group by clicking here, forward the link to any artists that you know and spread the word by encouraging your friends (and even strangers) to join the group.

It’s time for The Mother City to start flaunting her talented sons and daughters!
