10 NAGGING QUESTIONS ON MY MIND

1. If an African-American immigrates to Europe, lives there for five years and gets citizenship, does he become an African-American-European?

2. If ‘a’ becomes ‘an’ when it precedes a vowel, why does ‘an European’ sound wrong?

3. If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?

4. What is another word for "thesaurus"?

5. Why on earth do we have a silent ‘p’

6. The descendants of Malay slaves in Cape Town used to colour their language with words like ‘Tiera Makassie’ for ‘Thank You’ and ‘Kifayit’ for ‘Funeral’.
They have now replaced these Malay words with Arabic, like ‘Shukran’ and ‘Janaaza.’
During the Apartheid era, they were classified as Cape Malays.
Have they now classified themselves as Cape Arabs?

7. Does Melanin give one rhythm?

8. How far east can you go before you're heading west?

9. Are there perhaps elephants with ‘a memory like a human being’?

10.Is daydreaming allowed at night?
