SA POLITICIANS SETS DANCE TREND

When we first saw Nelson Mandela doing his now famous Madiba Jive our hearts went out to him.
As far as I know, this was the first time the world saw a politician dancing on stage.

Madiba was dancing in joy, having attained the freedom that he fought for and paid for so dearly.
The time, the place and the mood was right.

Madiba had reason to dance, and we loved it when he did.

But since then, other SA politicians have been trying to emulate him, with what can only be described as ridiculous results.

Now it seems that the world is following suit.

US First Lady Michelle Obama was caught dancing lately and there are numerous photos of her dance plastered all over the web.

She couldn’t resist joining in and getting her groove on during a surprise visit to Alice Deal Middle School for a "Let's Move" fitness event in Washington.

Lets Move is her initiative to combat the growing problem of child obesity in the US
by providing schools, families and communities with simple tools to help kids be more active, eat better, and get healthy.

But she couldn’t have chosen a worse moment to start grooving in public.

The media of course now implies that she was simply swept away by the euphoria surrounding her husband's victory in nabbing Osama Bin Laden, and his subsequent poll boost.

Maybe the wrong place and mood, and certainly the wrong time Michelle.
