After operating for four years and R1.5-billion
later, the scheme collapsed in 2002.
Now Prinsloo and her family have all been
convicted on 394 155 charges with a total penalty of 29
000 years in prison.
But, the SA judicial system is a fuck show
that dishes out extreme penalties on paper that the media
can use to brainwash people into believing that justice
is being done.
In reality, the ridiculous concept of ‘the
sentences will run concurrently’ means that she is
effectively sentenced to serve 25 years in prison.
Her ex-husband, daughter, son and niece were each sentenced
to 12 years behind bars.
Pretty soon all of them will be eligible for parole and
in a few short years they will be free to enjoy the assets
that were so well hidden that the authorities could not
trace them.
Judge
Cynthia Pretorius said Prinsloo "preyed on people's
naivety and greed" and used "artifice"
to hide the extent of her dealings from authorities. |

I think Judge Pretorius and the entire judicial
system is preying on people’s naivety and using ‘artifice’
(Noun: Clever or cunning devices or expedients, esp. as
used to trick or deceive others) to hide the truth of the
judgment from the public.
