The full champagne breakfast
set the trend for what we could expect for the rest of the
breakaway.
It was marvellous.
I have never been on a quad bike before,
but managed to get the hang of it on the 5km track.
I admit. I was going at what could be described at a sissy
kind of pace, but there were others behind me. Far behind
me.
I will definitely do this again just to prove to myself
and anyone else who is watching, that I can go a bit faster,
but I don’t see myself becoming a quad bike fanatic.
I have been on a horse before and I am still
not convinced that I was meant to be a cowboy or a jockey.
I do love the feel of a horse under me though so will probably
explore improving on my riding skills.
The revelation for me was the pamper room.
Subconciously/consciously I have always been a ‘real’
man, so I have never experienced this kind of pampering.
At DKH, I had the very first pedicure and facial in my life,
with a head massage thrown in for good measure.
I promise you.
From this day on I am decidedly a metromale.
I can’t believe that the ladies have
been enjoying this kind of pampering for ages without trying
to convince me to try it.
Shame on you ladies!
I am hooked.
In fact, I suspect that I could be convinced to start wearing
make-up!!!!!!!!!!
Really now Kader?
Apart from the excellent cuisine, luxurious
accommodation (those beds were made in heaven), enticing
cocktails, sushi lessons and the constant attention of our
hosts, husband and wife team Shaan and Tavia, I found the
open space, greenery and fresh air to be absolutely amazing.
By the time we left at around 12h30 on Sunday
I felt like I had just spent a week in a foreign world.
Watch out for the next pamper breakaway, brought to you
by Yummie Events and More2Xplore, probably in September.
You don’t want to miss out on this luxurious treat
again.
