Suddenly. red-blooded males
across the globe wanted more of Shashi.
If you Google Shashi, Yummie Lifestyle tops the list,
and in just two days 16gigs of bandwidth was devoured,
causing the site to crash.
I was not prepared to invest in more bandwidth, and
decided to take that much-needed two week break, until
the following month’s bandwidth kicked in
|
I won’t bore you with the details
of how two weeks became eight months, but yesterday I felt
ready to reincarnate the site.
(I must add that I am totally surprised that on average
600 unique users still visit the site daily.)
But now, I find myself facing a new dilemma.
What do I write about?
A few months ago, I would not have hesitated
to share my opinion on any of the subjects listed below.
· The inaugural
City Hall Sessions as part of Creative Week’s celebration
of Cape Town’s creative talent
· The MJC's role in pig hearts
being sold as halaal sheep hearts
· Religious troglodytes plastering
ridiculous crap all over the social sites
· Paul van Dyk, Soundscape
and Mark Abrahams
But these topics would all create controversy,
and I am so sick and tired of defending my opinions against
the empty caves of the mountains that echo voices whose
meanings are not understood.
What’s the point anyway.
And I say this with full knowledge that controversy is a
powerful tool for driving traffic to your site.
Have I lost my nerve?
Nah, I think I’m just out of practice
and a little complacent. I need to stoke the fire inside
of me. That raging fire that is now just a glow.
We’ll see what happens over the next
few days. Maybe I should buy some Blitz for good measure.
