Three years ago, Emad’s father, a poor man, decided to open a bank account for his jailed son. Initially, the lotto board could not find an address for the winner, but eventually they managed to trace the father.

As luck would have it, it was just days before Emad was due to be released from prison.

He was released yesterday.

 

On his release, he was presented with a cheque for a million Egyptian Pounds, the equivalent of R1.36-million.

And justice shall prevail.
