SWIMMING WITH SHARKS

I know I shouldn’t, but I am feeling increasingly sorry for Jackie Selebi.
He was so obviously swimming with sharks, and now he is bleeding.

The damning evidence that is being presented against Selebi, proves yet another cliché.
There is no honour amongst thieves.

Steven Spielberg would do well to follow this trial!

Jacob Sello Selebi – ex-National Commissioner of the South African Police and ex-President of Interpol - is on trial for three charges of fraud and corruption, and one of Defeating the ends of Justice.
He is alleged to have received R1.2-million from his close friend and convicted druglord Glenn Agliotti.
Agliotti is also suspected of being involved in the murder of mining boss Brett Kebble, himself a shady character.

All the crooks have now turned on Selebi, recognising an opportunity to save their own skins by making deals with the NPA to testify against Selebi.

When I say swimming with sharks………

The R1.2-million that Selebi received over three years is chicken shit to these mobsters.

Billy Rautenbach, for example, agreed to pay R40-million, for 326 counts of fraud, as part of his plea-sentence agreement with the NPA, and Glen Agliotti charged up to R7.5-million just to introduce high rolling criminals to Jackie Selebi.

The trial is turning into a proverbial can of worms, with Selebi’s lawyers disclosing that axed NPA head Vusi Pikoli’s wife had received a ‘gratification’ from Roger Kebble, father of slain mining magnate Brett.

Pikoli is also a witness for the state in Selebi's trial.

Like I said…can of worms…..honour amongst thieves….sharks….bleeding.

Get ready for the movie!
