MAN. DOG’S BEST FRIEND We proclaim that a dog is man’s best friend, and those of you who own dogs will undoubtedly vouch for that. Your dog will be loyal to you irrespective of the mistakes that you may now and then make in your life. When days are dark, friends are few, but rest assured, your dog will be there to comfort you. Your dog will always listen attentively, and will never backchat. It may occasionally backbark, but backchat? Never.

And, when you are in danger, your dog will instinctively risk everything, including it’s life, to protect you.

What about the dog then.
Are you your dog’s best friend?
Of course you are.

You feed the mutt, you take it for walks, you bathe it, you groom it, you brush it.
You treat it with flea and tick powders, tablets, drops, and, when it’s sick you take it to the vet.
You buy comfortable kennels, sleeping baskets, blankets.
You even buy toys and special treats for the dog.

But what if the dog was in serious trouble. With the law nogal.
Would you prove yourself to be your dog’s best friend?

 

Ron Gilbert’s Staffordshire Terrier - Max - was found guilty of mauling sheep, and authorities ordered that the dog be put down.

Max was caged on death row at the pound, and on the day before his execution, his owner was allowed to visit Max for the last time.

But Ron had other plans.
Instead of saying goodbye, he cut the cage open with wire-cutters and snatched Max from the prison.
The two are on the run.

Man.
A dog’s best friend.
