While checking the stats
and analytics, I was surprised that, under the umbrella
of my Edotor’s Daily Ramblings, the most read
article was ‘Are You Into Kinky Sex.’
I know.
I shouldn’t be surprised.
Sex sells.
Not that anyone is buying on Yummie, but still.
And, I realised that I should actually
do more of these articles with sexual connotations,
if that’s what readers want.
Have you ever experienced the phenomenon
where, if you drive a Volkswagen you notice more Volkswagens
than any other cars on the road?
Well, after this revelation, the sex
articles popped up on every site that I visited.
Yesterday, South Africa’s leading news sites were
in fact encouraging us to pump up the jam in the bedroom
– or car, or secluded beach, or store room at
the office etc – this festive season.
It’s a great time to pomp, they declare.
Some of them were more
subtle, others quite blatant. Apart from the text, each
article is coupled with an attention grabbing pic to
match.
