Nelson Mandela’s 26-year-old grandson Zondwa and Jacob Zuma’s 37-year-old nephew Khulubuse have just bought a 60% stake in DRDGold mine, at a cost of R296.2-million.

This year alone, their company – Aurora Empowerment Systems - purchased Pamodzi Gold Orkney for R215-million, Pamodzi Gold East Rand for R390-million and Primrose Gold Mines for R25-million.

Aurora managing director Zondwa Mandela said the transaction demonstrated his company's credibility in the sector.

With names like Mandela and Zuma there is surely no way that their Empowerment Systems can fail?
