DAVID COPPERFIELD WISHING HE COULD DISAPPEAR David Copperfield, born David Seth Kotkin, is described by Forbes magazine as the most commercially successful magician in history. The 53-year-old illusionist has so far sold over 40 million tickets for his shows, grossing over $1-billion. Right now though, the magician is no doubt wishing that he could disappear.

A 22-year-old fashion model and former Miss Washington contestant has filed a federal lawsuit against him, alleging that he sexually assaulted her.
The model, a Seattle native, claims that she met Kotkin at one of his shows in 2007, and he invited her to his private island in in the Bahamas that summer.

After watching a movie, he attacked her and threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply.

The lawsuit was filed on July 29, the deadline for a two year statute of limitations.

The identity of the woman has not been disclosed, but if she was a contestant in the 2007 Miss Washington pageant, she is one of the ladies in the picture.
