PORN FOR THE BLIND

There was a time when porn was a mega money-spinner.
With the advent of sites like redtube and pornhub though, I doubt whether the porn traffickers are making as much money as they used to.

The industry is also saturated with every Dick Tom and Harry now able to host their very own porn site for a very small investment.

But, there is obviously some milk still left in the cow and one simply has to find a fresh market.

Enter the blind!

The blind may not be able to see, but they can certainly hear, and there are plenty of audio porn sites out there catering to them.
One such site http://pornfortheblind.org probably spoilt it for the sextrepreneurs because this is a free site that claims to be hosted by a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation.
Does one still get those things?

On pornfortheblind users are invited to view porn clips and then upload an audio commentary of the clip.

Canadian photographer Lisa Murray came up with brainwave.
I can hear her thinking out loud ‘You can hear it, but can you feel it!’
She then came up with the concept of porn in braile.
Yes, tactile images.

You can feel it!

Lisa’s book, entitled ‘Tactile Mind contains raised images of naked men and women in various poses, some wearing masks or in suggestive bondage, along with titillating phrases in Braille.
Murphy photographed friends in costumes and masks, in part to convince them to participate.
"It's so much easier to get someone to take off their clothes in front of a camera if they're non-identifiable," Murphy said of the mask. She is herself also featured in the book. "I couldn't expect anyone to do it if I wasn't a part of it too."

She then transformed the pictures into fine sculptures — a process that took more than 50 hours per image. Each book costs 225 Canadian dollars.

Murphy, a former volunteer at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, and this where she picked up the skills for the unique book by transforming images of animals for children's educational books.

The book was first released two years ago, but has received new attention in the wake of an article last Sunday in a Toronto daily that was picked up by media worldwide.
The recent media coverage has caused a sudden spike in demand, but visually impaired people are not impressed.
‘It’s interesting but not titillating’ is the general consensus.
