BEWARE
OF THE FAIRER SEX THIS FESTIVE SEASON
The festive season is fast approaching.
Last year I wrote about the bad experience of going
to the shops during this ‘season to merry’
period.
Already everyone is bursting at the seams with the
frustrations of the economic recession and credit
crunch.
It’s been a hard year.
And when we all finally get a bit
of a break in December, the fairer sex is expected
to do more than the usual amount of cleaning, preparing,
cooking and shopping. |

Growing up, when females used to be the
fairer sex, they were bombarded with the message that
anger and aggression was unfeminine.
But in today’s climate of joint incomes that has
gone down the tubes.
These days the fairer sex has to juggle
the stresses of home, work and financial issues.
Traditionally they suppressed anger, but like everything
else that is bottled up, the bottle eventually bursts.
We are living in an age of rage, and if
men are still expecting their spouses to take sole responsibility
for catering to the family needs during the holidays,
while they down beers, watch rugby and be merry - as usual
- we are in for an explosion of trolley rage come December.
Worldwide, women are becoming more and
more aggressive, with stressful situations increasingly
leading to acts of physical violence.
Statistics show that the number of women
and girls being sentenced for crimes has hit a five-year
high, that the number of females involved in alcohol-related
trouble has increased by almost a third in two years,
and that females are now involved in a quarter of all
violent attacks.
It’s going to be a war-zone out
there this festive season! Expect
violence.
