Granted, many great industry teams turn
mediocre artists into one-hit-wonders and everyone makes
a bit of moola.
There have also been truly great artists who failed
to reach their true potential because they had a mediocre
industry team.
But when a great team teams up with
a great artist, superstars are born.
A superstar makes a lot of money and
becomes internationally famous.
But, there are many others who make lots money from
the success of these superstars.
They mostly choose to stay out of the limelight.
Michael Jackson was such a star.
So what happens when the artist dies?
A mad scramble to milk
the last bit of moola out of the efforts of the artist
after he is gone.
That’s what happens.
The show must go on for as long as possible.
There is still moola to be made.
Four months after his death, Sony Music
Entertainment has just released a two disc CD set entitled
This Is It.
And of course the movie will be released shortly.
