BARBARIC BUT NOT
UN-ISLAMIC
As with all religions, there are
many different variations of Islam, all claiming
to be interpretations of the Quran.
The two main sects are undoubtedly
Shi’ite and Sunni.
The Shia believe that the Qur’an is ‘with
God’ and that the version available today
has been so distorted that it is completely different
from the original.
The Sunni don’t agree.

Both of these sects do however agree that,
according to the Qur’an, virgins go directly to
heaven, and that the Qur’an forbids the execution
of a female virgin, irrespective of her crime.
Rather than simply rewrite the religious
rules to suit their needs, like everyone else does, the
ruling Shia in Iran have found a way around this when
it comes to executing female protesters who are virgins.
On the night before their execution,
these girls are forced to marry prison guards, or privileged
members of Iran’s paramilitary Basiji.
Then, to consummate the marriage, the husbands rape their
new wives, and the following morning the girls are executed.
In this way, two birds are killed with
one stone.
The Shi’ite rulers have not transgressed
the laws of Shariah, and the protesting enemy won’t
automatically go to heaven, because they are no longer
virgins.
A serving member of the Basiji militia,
who brags about being so highly respected in the militia
that he has been enjoying this privilege since he was
eighteen, had this to say.
‘I could tell that the girls were
more afraid of their 'wedding' night than of the execution
that awaited them in the morning. By morning the girls
would have an empty expression; it seemed like they were
ready or wanted to die.’
I think it was Hermann Hesse who said
‘If there was a creator, his next act would have
been to disappear.’?
Not Hermann?
Well somebody said it.
